This is such a bittersweet post for me! This wedding marks my final FULL wedding that I second shot during my first full year of being in New Jersey after moving my business from California. This was my 23'rd wedding that I 2nd shot this year! TWENTY THREE people! That was in addition to 7 of my own. What a year indeed!

And what a FUN wedding to end the year with! This was my 2nd time shooting at Mayfair Farms, the first only being a few weeks before this, and it is such a beautiful venue, I was so excited to go back and shoot there again. Colleen and Matt were so laid back and fun, it was such a fun day with their friends and family. The weather was perfect and everything about the day went off without a hitch. Their first look was so sweet and their portraits were in some of the best light of the whole year.

So honored to have been able to shoot so many amazing weddings this year with Laura, Jennifer, Mackenzie and Amy. So excited for all 2017 has to bring and for being a part of so many other couples beginning this new season in their lives!!

Harry Potter themed wedding at The Tides New Jersey

Such a fun blog post to share with you today friends!! Even though I'm not a *huge* Harry Potter fan like some people I know (looking at you Amy and Cassi!) this Harry Potter themed wedding at The Tides in Northern New Jersey was so fun!! Janine and Sean are true Harry Potter fans and I loved how they incorporated that throughout their entire wedding day!

Their entire wedding party had wands...and we aren't talking just regular wands...they were all special and unique and some were even custom made. They had Harry Potter socks and Janine's bouquet was made from the pages of the Harry Potter books. The tables at the reception were separated into the four different houses and they had so many other fun details that simply made the day totally "them"! They are also both huge NJ Devils fans, and they even had the NJ Devil himself show up at the reception!! It was so much fun! The Tides is a gorgeous wedding venue and everything about this day in late October was perfect.
