So, you’re engaged? Congratulations! Get ready to start receiving gifts from now until your big day for all sorts of wedding-related occasions. Engagement. Bridal Shower. Lingerie Shower. Bachelorette Weekend. Wedding Registry. And more! While receiving gifts is always fun, you know the saying, it’s always better to give than receive.

In all the craziness that is wedding planning, don’t overlook these key opportunities to gift those near and dear to you.

Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

The bridal party proposal trend is here to stay. This not only a fun way to invite your girls to be in your bridal party but also a sweet way to get them excited about the wedding planning process! In addition to the gift itself, consider including some color swatches of the bridesmaid dresses or even a nail polish that hints towards your color palette!

Bridal Shower Hostess Gift

While you’re the official guest of honor, it’s a nice touch to gift your shower hostess with a token of your appreciation. With all of the effort that goes into planning and executing a bridal shower, it will be a nice surprise for her to be on the receiving end of such a gift. Spa items, gourmet baked goods or home décor items are always good options. We especially love well-designed gift baskets with several smaller items for her to enjoy after the shower is over and guests have gone home.

Bridal Party Appreciation

A nice gift for your bridal party is a great way to show your appreciation for all they’ve done for you during your engagement. We especially like monogrammed robes to be worn while getting ready, spa and beauty items, protein-packed snacks or candy for energy.

Flower Girl Appreciation

Don’t forget about the flower girl! She’ll love to receive something just like the big girls. We love the idea of a small gift box with lip gloss, handmade hairpiece and bracelet and nail polish.

Wedding Welcome Gifts

It’s important to show your guests how thankful you are for them making the trip to your wedding. Welcome them with snacks, beverages and perhaps a locally-inspired keepsake to remember the weekend by. Packaging can mirror your wedding color palette/style as a way of offering them a sneak peek into the festivities that await them! And of course, welcome gifts aren’t just for adults. Yu can create kid-friendly flower girl and ring bearer baskets to welcome them to town just like the grown-ups. Simple snacks, toys and drinks are sure to be a huge hit!

Hello! My name is Jamie Kutchman Wynne and I own the artisan welcome gift company, Marigold & Grey. I first recognized the need for boutique gift service while preparing for my own 2012 wedding. Not long after, I left behind a successful corporate career in medical sales to start my company, actually quitting spontaneously on a conference call. I previously sold thousands of bundled surgical supplies to operating rooms each year and today, I apply this same logic of “bundling” to welcome gifts instead. I’m ECSTATIC to have finally found my true calling. For the first time in my life, I don’t have to be corporate OR creative. I am both and this is exactly where I belong.

I live in the Washington, DC area with my husband Jeff and three stepkids. We also have two naughty rescue pups running around, Lewis and Clarkie! While I enjoy DC life, I’m a true Virginia girl at heart. When I’m not designing gifts or mentoring other business owners, I love good bourbon and barbecue, football season, party planning, prop styling and am hopelessly addicted to international travel.
