New Jersey First Communion in Madison

Meeting Kerry at the Red Oak Weddings styled shoot is such a highlight from the past few months. You know those people you just "click" with? (No photography pun intended!) Well, she's one of them. I'm so blessed to have met her and have enjoyed getting to know her and her adorable family. When she asked if she could hire me to take some photos at her son's first communion, I was so honored! Not only would I get to capture some great memories for her, but I would also get to meet her family!

The day was perfect. The sun was shining and the temperature was spot on. Paul and I headed to the GORGEOUS church and waited outside until the ceremony was over. All the kids poured outside and we did some photos of adorable Ashwin outside and with mom and dad before heading back to their house for some family photos.

Paul and I both loved spending a little bit of the afternoon with everyone and we were so blessed to be a part of it! Thank you to Pratt, Kerry and congratulations to Ashwin on your first communion!

Montano Family // Albuquerque Family Photographer

Ohhhhh the Montanos. They are so much fun. I feel like I have known them forever, but in reality I met them both when I was working at a call center in Albuquerque. They were some of my favorite people when I worked with them and they remain some of my favorite people. I was so pumped when I found out they wanted to get together for some family photos when I was in town!

We met up at the Los Poblanos Open Space and even though the skies were looking slightly intimidating we got going and had a great time making our way around the front part of the open space. We got to the huge tree and hay stacks and then the skies opened up and started raining pretty good! Luckily there was a little gazebo right there where we could hide out for a bit and wait for the sprinkles to pass.

While we were waiting the most awesome thing happened. A rainbow! And then a double rainbow!! So we were able to catch a couple of snaps underneath the rainbow. I've always wanted to do that!!

Overall, even though the rain dampened (haha...pun intended) we had a GREAT time and got some really great captures. All of them are so much fun they just made my job easy!!
